SINGLE LABELS IN MICROSOFT WORKS AND WORD
HOW TO PRINT A SINGLE LABEL IN MICROSOFT WORKS:
1. Start Works: click Start, point to All Programs, and then click Microsoft Works Task Launcher.
a) In Works Task Launcher, click Programs.
b) In the Programs list, click Works Word Processor.
c) In the tasks list, click Blank Word Processor Document.
2. In the Menu Bar, click on Tools, Labels.
3. In the Labels Dialog Box, click on the button "Mailing Labels with entries from a data source", then OK.
4. Choose the Product Number for the style of labels that you are using, then click on New Document.
5. In the Open Data Source dialog box, click CANCEL.
You will now have a document set up for a full sheet of whatever style label that you chose in step 4.
6. Before you enter any information, SAVE this document. Then you can use it as a template anytime, rather than going through all these steps again.
7. To print just one label, simply type in the address information in the label space that corresponds with the location of the label that you want to use on the label sheet. Print the document by clicking on File, Print,OK, then exit the document without saving. This will leave a clean template for the next time you want to print a single label.
HOW TO PRINT A SINGLE LABEL IN MICROSOFT WORD:
1. Open Word.
2. In the Menu Bar, click on Tools, Letters and Mailings, then Envelopes and Labels.
3. In the Envelopes and Labels Dialog Box, click on the Labels tab.
4. On the right side, click on Options.
5. Choose the Product Number for the style of labels that you are using, then click OK.
6. Type the address in the Address box, then below in the Print box, click on the button marked Single.
7. Using the Row and Column boxes, choose the location of the label on your label sheet.
8. Click on the Print button on the top right side of the box. This will send the label to the printer without creating a new document.
